2. There are significant differences between physical campus and Zoom University. Some similarities would be the constant checking of emails and making sure everything has been submitted on time. I was a resident at my previous college in Boston and I was in the “academic” environment 24/7. The library was right across from my dorm and I had a computer lab two floors below my dorm. Now that I have been doing school online, I do not feel like I am back in school again. My mindset hasn’t been able to adapt and now I feel like I’m already behind.

3. There’s a bit difference in both mindset and emotional journeys between Snapchat and Fortnite. The mindset for Fornite is to get as many kills and wins as you can. Fortnite tends to bring out my competitive side and it tends to end in frustration and anger. Whereas Snapchat, is approached with a calm mindset and catching up on people’s life.

4. Coffee shops used to be my little safe haven and getaway pre-Covid. Fortnite, in a way, provides a safe haven to avoid the issues going on in our world today. However, Fortnite does not help with my productivity level. I sat for hours playing the game and realized how much time I lost.

5. This experience has showed me that there is a possible solution to “escape” this pandemic. Fortnite has provided me with a healthy and safe way on getting out any negative energy that has been caused by this pandemic. However, it definitely is not the same as going out and hiking or going to school for class.

6. I believe that social media outlets are a sort of MMORPGs. Each person that either follows me or that I follow, interact with one another. This could either be done by commenting, liking, or sending memes to one another. There are even some pages on Instagram that are like by over millions a people with so many comments, I an only imagine how many people forwarded the image to close friends. Also, there are underlying “rules” that people follow, such as what time to post or when to like someone’s picture back.

7. I believe the real world is another kind of MMORPGs. I believe that everyone has a role in this world and they don’t realize they are playing a role into their young adolescent years. High school was a big opener on how people played roles that were highly coveted in order to fit in. A clear example would be to reflect back to each clique in high school. We are reminded of our roles when we fully submerge into adult life and assume our roles in our careers.
